Due to the current and ongoing increase in IoT and Artificial Intelligence, smart living is something many people are starting to adapt into their lives. So there is no surprise that Dahua Technology is promoting new and improved AI functions to their intelligent server.

Known as the Dahua IVSS (Intelligent Video Surveillance Server), this intelligent server offers multiple algorithm integration as well as being innovative and efficient with accurate AI functions. Here are some of the server’s new functions and features that will be beneficial for many customers.

High Frequency Alarm

Some AI functions are already provided by Dahua such as a face recognition blocklist alarm, stranger alarm and VIP recognition. However it’s newest addition is a high frequency alarm which can recognise the frequency of targets in the specific monitored scene. Its updated algorithm allows for a higher detection accuracy rate and even supports new functions such as loitering detection, crowd gathering estimation and parking detection. As well as this, another benefit is that the video metadata function of this equipment supports a number of attributes for the human body, human face, motor and non-motor vehicle.

Algorithm Central

The Dahua IVSS can now not only extract metadata from normal video recordings stored in XVR or NVR devices but also it now offers video metadata Linkage that can trigger the alarm when the target’s metadata does not meet the preset conditions/rules.

Unlike traditional intelligent algorithms, the IVSS now includes smart video compression that provides higher computing accuracy and can distinguish specific targets in the scene.

Parking Spaces

An AI function that is now available can significantly reduce bandwidth by up to 99%. This also means relatively lessening upgrading costs. What makes it so special is that its outdoor parking space detection function provides over 94% accuracy rate in detecting available parking spaces in an outdoor scenario.

Computing Factors and Abilities

The strong and scalable computing capability of the upgraded Dahua IVSS can utilise up to 16 AI chips. In terms of storage and data security, this series allows access to up to 256 channels, provides up to 768Mbps storage bandwidth, and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. Furthermore, the IVSS is now compliant with ONVIF/RTSP which means it is compatible with third-party cameras.

Dahua’s Focus On Continued Innovation

Dahua Technology is now confident with more room for improvement that they can serve customers with “Innovation, Quality and Service”. The combination of video management features, robust computing, superior storage and strong decoding capabilities allows for a bright future for Dahua and the security industry.
