Oncam is typically known as a provider of premium video capture technologies and they have just updated their firmware to make their cameras stand out in the market as flexible and advanced. They have added a new option of multi-mode which means that five different views can be chosen by users and four of them can be streamed simultaneously.

With this updated C-Series, stakeholders can record everything with a 360-degree view whilst also being able to choose and tailor their views for their specific needs.

Cameras – Wall-Mounted

With the new feature of multi-mode, the main views that can be seen for users now are as follows:

Fisheye

This is a standard 360-degree view which can be helpful for a user if they are looking for complete total awareness visually.

Corridor+

This is able to show two opposite directions of a 360-degree view simultaneously at once. This means that objects will move seamlessly from one view to another and there will be no gaps in between footage of what the user can see.

T Corridor+

Now this will form a 3-way junction view. This means that what is on both sides as well as the front view can be seen with no division or gap of different camera views.

Panoramic+

This view is best suited for wall-mounted cameras as it will use the centre of the fisheye sensor to get an actual 180-degree image. Correct tilting at the desired angle is one of the many accessories tailored to this particular view. This 180-degree view can also be set for any and all streams in the Panoramic+ Only Mode, which in turn will be a considerably good replacement for the popular Evolution 180 cameras.

VCam

This is very specific to what the user would like. This view will be a chosen area of the fisheye camera, allowing the users to monitor and focus on one specific area of what the camera can see.

What Is Being Said About This New Integration

Oncam’s integration with AMAG allows joint customers to realize greater situational awareness and enhanced image quality benefits from Symmetry’s virtual matrix, which displays up to 36 cameras per viewing monitor with display options that include panorama 180º and 360º camera views,” said Jim Murray, Senior Product Manager-Video, AMAG Technology. “Oncam’s 3D de-warping technology, combined with Symmetry’s full integration with access control and alarm notifications, ensures that end users can cost-efficiently provide a well-rounded, advanced security system.”
