Job title: Operations manager – West Midlands – Immediate start – £30k permanent position + performance bonus and other benefits

 

For an experienced fire and security engineer looking to take the next step in their career as an operational manager, this is a fantastic opportunity. My client, an NSI gold firm headquartered in the West Midlands, is looking to hire an experienced operations manager for their fire and security division. 

 

Roles and responsibilities:

– Supervising a team of engineers 

– Keeping track of ongoing projects 

– Communicating with clients

– Organising supplies

– Completing all NSI paperwork

– Reporting to the company’s director 

– Training apprentices 

– Other ad-hoc tasks 

 

Requirements:

– At least 5 years experience in the UK fire and security industry

– Worked with an NSI approved company and experience in working with blue-chip companies

– A good understanding of NSI paperwork and URN reporting

– At least 2 years experience in managing a team of engineers 

– You must either live in the Midlands or be willing to relocate

– Good communication skills at all levels 

– Good leadership skills and comfortable in working with a team and on your own 

– Experience in managing subcontractors 

– Knowledge of fire and security products, as well as their installation
