1. Use a reputable CCTV brand. Don’t go with the cheapest system on the market. Pelco, BOSCH, Hikvision, Samsung and Panasonic are some of the reputable brands.
2. Don’t use obvious passwords or default passwords.
3. Change your passwords at regular intervals.
4. Make sure that your home wifi is secured.
5. Don’t buy a used secuirty camera.
6. Try to use a wired security camera system.
7. Keep an eye on your remote access log.
8. Check for the latest camera firmware updates.
